Canadá race advance

COMPÁRTELO
This Week's OtterBox Toyota Tundra at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park... Germán Quiroga will be turning right and left in chassis No. 85 on Sunday Aug. 31 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. It will be his first time competing in this Toyota Tundra, which was updated to the 2014 body style and converted specifically for road course competition.

Quiroga at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park... Quiroga has one previous start at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park where he finished 15th after qualifying 12th and led for three laps. The No. 77 team was quick during the practice sessions, finishing in the top-five each time.

Race Rewind: Bristol Motor Speedway... The No. 77 Toyota Tundra was fast during the only practice session at Bristol Motor Speedway, and secured a sixth-place starting position for the UNOH 200. Once weather delayed the start of the race to the following morning, the teams knew that they would be faced with changed track conditions due to going from a night race to a day race. Quiroga spent the first part of the race running inside the top-10 but as the sun came out the handling of his Toyota Tundra changed, resulting in a 14th-place finish for the team.

Road Course Racing Roots... Quiroga is no stranger to making both left and right turns in a race car. The Mexico City native started his racing career racing on road courses, winning a Formula Renault Championship in 2005, a season completely made up of road courses. He boasts an impressive resume of experience road course racing in the NASCAR Mexico Series where he won three championships, and made a NASCAR Nationwide Series start at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a road course track in México City.

GERMÁN QUIROGA QUOTES:

On returning to road course racing...

"Road course racing is really fun for me; it takes me back to my roots. I started my racing career on road courses, so visiting Canadian Tire Motorsports Park really fits my driving style. I'm looking forward to making left and right turns this weekend"

On Canadian Tire Motorsports Park...

"I love racing at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. You are flying through the straightaways; it's a great combination between slow corners and fast. I'm thrilled to go back and we're working hard to have a successful finish"
